CorvetteBlogger is Heading to Corvette Expo Next Week. Will You Be There?

The 45th annual Corvette Expo takes place next week in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This show has been on our must-attend radar for several years now and we’re excited to make our first trip there in just over a week.

The Corvette Expo is held each year at the LaConte Center in the heart of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The Smokie Mountains provide the ultimate backdrop for this great event. This year’s show marks its 45th anniversary and will be held Friday and Saturday, March 18th, and March 19th. The doors open at 9am.

Corvette Expo consists of a number of activities throughout the weekend. The event gets moving Friday afternoon with a 75-mile road trip to and through the famous Tail of the Dragon. If you’re not familiar with the Dragon, it’s 11 miles and 318 turns of pure driving goodness and is widely considered to be one of the best driving roads in the US.

Of course, there’s the main event Diamond Awards car show featuring some of the best Corvettes around. In addition to Corvettes, there’s also Chevelle and hot rod “shows within the show” to check out as well.

If you’re looking by a certain part for your car or a complete car, you can peruse the swap meet and the car sales corral for your treasure. Additionally, attendees can always sign up for the Park and Show portion of the event as well. Al Knoch will be installing convertible tops and interiors throughout the weekend.

As you can see, the Corvette Expo has a little something for everyone. If you’re in the area, be sure to take some time to check it out. The 45th Corvette Expo takes place next weekend March 18th and 19th at the LaConte Center in scenic Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. 1. It’s Friday and Saturday, not Sunday, and looking like the weather is going to be great. Dave

  2. I attended the first Corvette Expo when it was held in Chilhowee Park in Knoxville. I went for many, many years after that. I loved that so much. There was such a BROTHERHOOD among Corvette owners back then.
