[VIDEO] Go Behind the Scenes of the 2022 Rolex 24 at Daytona with Jordan Taylor

We know how tough it was watching the Corvette C8.Rs this weekend. Corvette Racing’s first outing in the GTD-PRO class was a mixed bag after a rear-ender and equipment failure pushed the factory-back Vettes down in the standings. The number 3 C8.R went down by over 15 laps in the middle of the night but still managed to fight back into a 6th place finish to pick up some championship points.

Corvette Racing’s Jordan Taylor documented this year’s race for his new YouTube channel and he was all in until the extended stop in the garage officially took them out of contention for a podium finish. In one of the clips, Jordan details a bit of the strategy at the time. Knowing that the Corvettes didn’t have the same pace as the class leaders, they were looking at a fuel-savings strategy before the two incidents took both cars behind the wall:

Definitely a fun race, the new class is exciting, the restarts are hectic but it’s fun to be actually back in a class with a bunch of cars you can battle with so that’s good. We definitely don’t have the outright pace right now to kind of battle the guys of the front which is a bit frustrating, but we’ve been saving fuel each time trying to extend those windows…”

From Jordan Taylor via YouTube:

A few clips from this weekend’s Rolex 24. A disappointing result for us at Corvette Racing, but massive thanks to the team for getting us back out there and fighting back to a sixth-place finish. Never Give Up mentality.

  1. Imsa is going the route of parity like Nascar did and may lose fans in the long run like Nascar. Oh that’s right Nascar owns Imsa. Hope Imsa doesn’t get woke like their owner. Let’s go Brandon!
