[SPIED] Two 2023 Corvette Z06s on the Way to Michigan Offers First Look at Carbon Flash Wheels

Check out these outstanding photos of two 2023 Corvette Z06s on their way to the Milford Proving Ground where they will either be given to a member of the Corvette engineering team or they might be doled out to a third-party engineering firm for validation.

The photos come to us from a CorvetteBlogger reader named Matthew Harker who drives a semi-truck in Central Indiana. Matthew tells us he is an avid Corvette enthusiast and a member of the NCM. He says he passes by the hotel daily that is used by the Jack Cooper transport drivers and today there were two uncovered Z06s on the back of the trailer.

Both are Z07s judging by the carbon fiber wheels. The Silver Flare Z06 has visible carbon fiber wheels with Michelin Alpin snow tires mounted while the Red Z06 is showing the carbon fiber wheels in Carbon Flash Metallic. I believe that’s the first we’ve seen those wheels and they were mounted to the Pilot Sport Cup2 R tires:

With the Silver Flare Z06 stilling way up high on the trailer like that, we were hoping to finally see the underbody strakes that help the Z06’s aero, but unfortunately, they are not pictured. What we do get a closer look at are the two mounting points for the Z06’s visible carbon fiber high wing, as well as an underview of the exhaust. I am also thinking that the front splitters on both Z06s were not installed for shipping purposes.

  4. I like both sets of wheels but to be “practical for me” the Carbon Flash 5 spoke look great. I wish they would have offered at least one set of really nice wheels back in 2020. My observation has been most people changed out the wheels almost as soon as they got their new C8 Stingray, I know that was the first thing I did. Didn’t like any of the offerings when ordering my C8. Just my 2 cents.

  5. Kudos to the truck driver for a really nice group of pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Why would they supply them with black lugnuts when they can charge you extra $$$$$$$$$$ in order for you to get black ones?

  6. As low as that car hauler seems to ride, I hope he doesn’t have to traverse any speed bumps along the way.
