[VIDEO] Start it Up! When You Are Handed the Keys to the New 2023 Corvette Z06

Check out how excited this NASCAR driver is to be starting up the new 2023 Corvette Z06! This video is roughly three weeks old now and I had watched it earlier, and then couldn’t remember where I had seen it. Now that I have come across it for a second time, I definitely wanted to get it posted because the dude who gets to start up this 2023 Corvette Z06/Z07 was pretty impressed with the sound of the car.

That “dude” by the way was Jesse Iwuji, a former Lt. Commander in the Navy and now an Xfinity race car driver who is teaming up with NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith to field a racing team for 2022. He’s also a Corvette fan by judging some of the images he has posted on his Instagram account.

Jesse was in Phoenix last month for the final NASCAR season championship race and he recorded this visit to the Chevrolet booth to see the Accelerate Yellow C8 Corvette Z06 with the Z07 Performance Package. Jess first does a quick intro and then proceeds to take a closer look at the exterior of the Z06. As he shows off the interior, he proclaims to be sitting in the car and that’s when he is handed the keys and proceeds to start up the 670-hp sports car which pretty much renders him speechless at that point. After a few revs, the next video shows the open engine compartment for a closer look at the DOHC LT6 flat-plane crank V8 engine. The final video has him exploring the C8’s frunk.

His description on the first post sums it all up for the NASCAR driver: “Got a chance to sit in and turn on my future C8 Z06. I’m in love…“
