[SPIED] C8 Corvette Z06 Mule with Z07 Package Spotted Near the Tail of the Dragon

Check out this video from Corvette Forum member “koretex” who spied a 2023 Corvette Z06 mule in camo off of I-75 somewhere near the Tail of the Dragon. Traveling with the Z06 mule was an Orange C8 Stingray.

The mule is wearing a full Z07 aero package, but also has the corner-mounted exhaust. While some on the Forum post are claiming this is an “E-Ray” because of the exhaust set-up, we saw during the rollout that the Corvette Team still has older Z06 mules running around that haven’t received the new floating center exhaust upgrades, so this is probably one of them.

Other astute members point to the white mirrors and rear body-color vents as being one of the older Z06 mules. We looked back at the Marietta, Ohio sighting in April this year and nearly all those mules had the white mirrors as well.

Regarding the encounter, Kortex shared the following:

I was at the local coffee shop this morning and these 2 guys pulled in. I waited around for about 15-20 minutes to wait on them to come out so I could hear the engine, but they never did and I had to get going. I took some pics too…

I forgot to say that this location is right off I-75 N/S, and about an hour away from “The Dragon” so my guess is they were on their way there or back home to MI.

Kortex also grabbed some great photos of the car, but sadly he didn’t get a photo of the VIN of the car which would help us better identify it. You can see all the pics at the Corvette Forum.
