Our good friend Byron Glover Jr of the Drive 615 YouTube channel received a tip earlier this week that the 2023 Corvette Z06 was on display in Nashville at the Country Music Awards from multiple sources including his own mother who sent him a cell-phone video of the car. Way to go, mom! So he grabbed his camera and jumped in his C7 Corvette Z06 to go find America’s newest supercar.
Byron finds the standard 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible in Red Mist on display and even manages to park his 2015 Z06 close enough to it that he starts asking passers-by which they prefer more, the Red one or the White one? Having captured the car during the daytime, he lays out his plan to return later in the evening to see if he can capture a cold start and exhaust note as the car is started up and taken away. Exclusive look at a 2023 C8 Z06 Chevrolet Corvette in the wild. This 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Mid-Engine C8 Z06 was finished in red mist over the natural interior. This particular spec was a 2023 Z06 Convertible and did not have the Z07 package. I waited outside the CMA (Country Music Awards) show here in Nashville Tennessee to see and hear this New Corvette Z06 start up and drive. The exhaust note on the new 2023 C8 Z06 Chevrolet Corvette sounded so good and I was happy to see it moving about the streets of Nashville.

The C8 Z06 LT6 engine produces 670 hp at 8,400 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque at 6,300 RPM. It also comes equipped with double overhead cams, dry-sump lubrication, and a flat-plane crankshaft. It revs to 8,600 RPM.

Another engineering marvel by Team Corvette. One thing. I’ve seen Red Mist on the C8 on sunny and cloudy days. Maybe I’m colorblind but the color almost always looks more orange than red. Same in this video. Am I the only one?

Looks more orange than red to me, too. The color spectrum is pretty wide depending upon the lighting.
