[VIDEO] CorvetteBlogger's Walkaround of the Standard 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible

While out in Los Angeles last week for the 2023 Corvette Z06 reveal, Mike Brink of the Brink of Speed YouTube channel convinced me to do a walkaround video of the standard C8 Z06 that was on display. I don’t do these often, but I think the end result came out pretty good!

Beginning at the front of the car, I take Mike on a tour as we check out all the features of the new Z06. I am really enamored with how well the aero package is integrated on this car. From the body-color chin spoiler to the adjustable rear spoiler, the standard Z06 is almost a minimalistic dream in an era of huge wings and oversized rockers/splitters.

I’m also a big fan of all the various options Chevy gives us to customize the Z06. We now have some really good wheel options to choose from and Chevy is also expanding the number of color combinations on a number of components like the interior and brake calipers. Add them all up and over 11,000 color combinations are available.

As we work away around to the interior of the car, I talk about how the level 2 carbon fiber package just gives that more exotic look to the car, and now that it’s been a week since the reveal, that package has been elevated to the “I got to have it” status because of its ability to transform the look of the interior.

As I was speaking off-the-cuff, I did manage to mangle a few facts. When it came to the tires as I conflated the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S with the all-season tires when they are actually the summer-only tires, and the downforce with the level 2 aero is listed at 365 pounds at 186 mph and not the 385 as I mentioned in the video. Finally, I was remembering that it was the C7 Stingray that Chevy held back pricing until the NCM Bash Event. We did get pricing for the C8 Stingray at the Tustin, California reveal on 7.18.19.

All and all, it was a fun experience to do the walkaround with Mike and I hope that you enjoy it!
