Corvettes for Sale: 1963 Corvette 327/350 Runs and Drives

When it comes to this 1963 Corvette convertible on the market, the owner apparently is letting the car do all the talking.

This C2 Sting Ray is being offered for sale on eBay for two more days, and so far the reserve hasn’t been met, despite 25 bids forcing the price to $30,712.

There’s no detailed description of the car provided with the listing, other than the bare-bones information that it has a V8 engine with a complete Holley Sniper kit, hooked to a four-speed manual transmission.

At some point, the car has been repainted to a shade not offered from the factory in ‘63, Dark Brown Metallic, though we’re not told what the original color was or when it was sprayed over. Nevertheless, a look at the photos with the listing indicates the paint remains shiny and there are apparently no visible cracks or other problems with the fiberglass body. Underneath, though, we don’t know the condition of the frame or birdcage when it comes to any rust.

A new ragtop would go a long way towards improving the outward appearance of the car, but the leather interior seems to be more than passable, making this Sting Ray a good candidate for a daily driver that you don’t have to constantly worry about like you would with a totally restored car of this vintage.

  1. “What direction would you take with this car?”

Well, I live in Vegas so I would get a look-see from Kount’s Kustoms and see what he and his staff can do with it. Probably a resto-mod direction for me.
