Preserving the past of the Corvette is the goal of the National Corvette Museum.

Preserving the paint on those Corvettes is the goal of Eastman Performance Films, LLC.

Now the two organizations have joined forces, with the Museum announcing this week that Eastman’s Llumar will be its preferred paint protection film brand.

According to the Museum’s Mariah Hughes, Llumar will be doing product demos during the NCM’s 27th Anniversary Event over the Labor Day weekend Sept. 2-4, but no standalone services outside of that will take place on site at the NCM at this time. We certainly would like to see someone step in and offer such a service as part of the R8C Museum Delivery program.

Llumar PPF is a self-healing, virtually invisible layer of protection that is professionally applied over paint to help defend against rocks, sand, salt, insects and other threats to a flawless finish – making it an ideal solution for passionate Corvette owners who would rather focus on the thrill of driving than worry about scratches.

“It’s a pleasure to officially bring together National Corvette Museum – its heritage and its fans –with the LLumar brand,” said Darrell Reed, commercial director, Eastman Performance Films. “This is an excellent opportunity to educate Corvette enthusiasts about LLumar paint protection film, and how it can help them enjoy their cars to the fullest.”

Llumar offers a range of PPF products that help prevent everyday road damage as well as damage on the track. Its innovative products include matte PPF to take the gloss off the factory finish, Valor which features PPF and ceramic coating benefits for one and done protection, and Select Black PPF to create a custom look on roofs, hoods, and mirrors.

“We are pleased to have Eastman Performance Films join the National Corvette Museum as the preferred PPF brand,” said Glenn Johnson, National Corvette Museum Board Chairman. “As one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of high-performance window and paint protection films for automotive applications, they take great pride in protecting both Corvettes as well as other vehicles our enthusiasts own and love. We are excited to team up with them and look forward to connecting our friends with their large network of dealers to preserve those beautiful Corvettes.”

As a preferred PPF brand for National Corvette Museum, LLumar will be featured throughout 2021 in a variety of the Museum’s print and online publications. Ads, social media posts and educational blog content will relay the benefits of LLumar PPF to Corvette owners.

  1. Llumar is terrific! That’s what I have on my C7 and really does the job. You usually here about Xpel, Scotch, and 3M. I have used the Xpel and 3M in the past and thought I would give Llumar a shot. It seems to shine and shed water a little better, but that may just be my bias since I have the Llumar now. The main thing is it protects and heals magnificently.
As an aside, Suntek is the same as Llumar.
