Chevrolet to Offer the C8 Corvette’s Exclusive Rapid Blue Exterior on 2022 Camaros

So far, the new C8 Corvette has been the only Chevy product to be available in Rapid Blue, the light hue that turned out to be one of the most popular exterior colors for the new mid-engine Stingray in 2020 when some 6 percent of customers picked that shade.

Now, Chevy has decided to share the color with the Corvette’s baby brother, the Camaro, for the 2022 model year.

To give customers a sneak preview of what next year’s Camaro will look like in that shade of blue, Chevy is providing a 2022 Camaro SS 1LE coated in Rapid Blue with red, white and black vinyl decals. It will lead the field to green for the NASCAR Beef It’s What For Dinner 300 race at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday.

A Corvette in the same color will pace the Daytona 500 Sunday night.

Chevy will also be providing a Rapid Blue Silverado 1500 RST to pace the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ NextEra Energy 250 race on Friday. This looks to be a very rare truck since Chevy doesn’t plan to offer Rapid Blue as an official color for the 2022 Silverado.

Get an early look at the Rapid Blue Camaro, which will be outfitted with a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine and Magnetic Ride Control suspension, in action on Saturday when the NASCAR Xfinity Series begins about 5 p.m. EST.
