Earlier this week a member of the Corvette Forum published a quick video “teaser” showing two C8 Corvette prototypes and a 2020 Corvette Stingray driving in California’s San Jacinto Mountains. Last night, jbsblownc5 dropped a longer video of his encounter with the C8 Corvette prototypes as they made their way from the twisty mountain roads down to the city streets.
In the new video, we see three C8 prototypes plus the Accelerate Yellow 2020 Stingray. Jbsblownc5 is following the team in his 2017 Black Rose Z06 and while the test team makes a few efforts to put some cars between them and him in a spirited game of chase, the forum member has no problems keeping up with the black-cladded prototypes.
Eventually, the engineers make it down to an unnamed California city where jbsblownc5 continues to capture all the action on his C7’s performance data recorder.
At the end of the video, jbsblownc5 follows the team to their hotel and we see five camouflaged C8 Corvette prototypes all covered up while three 2020 Stingrays are also parked in the lot. Throughout the 7 minute video, jbsblownc5 also shares a number of still photos he took as well.
Here are some of the still photos and screen grabs from the video:
