When designers and engineers were creating the mid-engine Corvette Stingray Coupe, they made sure to emphasize the beauty of the LT2 V8 engine that resides under glass for the world to see. Chevrolet described the C8’s focal point during the official launch of the car as the “jewel in a showcase, visible through the large rear hatch window,” and owners can choose between three different colors of engine covers to customize the look of the engine bay.

And while three “factory” engine cover options may be a good starting selection for most, some Corvette owners wanted more than just Black, Silver or Red, and that’s where our friends at American Hydrocarbon comes in.

Pat Scorzetti and his team at American Hydrocarbon have created a wide array of customized engine covers over the last few months and we love to see some of the creativity as C8 owners select the different colors to add to their customized cover. As the choice of the exterior color on a new Corvette is one of the most important and personal decisions a Corvette buyer makes, it only makes sense that many owners would want to bring that color “inside” by matching their engine cover with their Corvette’s exterior body color.

American Hydrocarbon is currently offering 16 different colors for the engine covers that include the 12 factory colors from 2020 plus 2021’s Red Mist and Silver Flare. Once you select the overall color of the cover, you can choose the colors of the side sills and the “CORVETTE” lettering. There are some great options here as well including a carbon fiber side sill design that really pops!

But why settle for just one color when you can really dress up your engine cover by selecting a two-tone design. The company has three different two-tone designs and you can pick which two GM colors will cover the different sections.

These customized engine covers are all made to order and we appreciate the craftsmanship with each of the C8 crossed flags painted by hand. You can further customize your C8 Corvette Coupe’s engine bay with matching valve covers painted to match your Corvette’s exterior.
