[PICS] Digital Artist Imagines a Police Interceptor Livery for the C8 Corvette


Over the years we’ve been treated to a number of Corvettes that have been pressed into law enforcement duty. Some of these real-life examples are DARE Corvettes confiscated from criminals that are used for community outreach by police departments. Other departments have used confiscated Corvettes for actual enforcement of laws

With the arrival of the new C8 mid-engine Corvette, a digital artist created an appropriate livery just in case any departments out there want to add a pursuit vehicle to their stable.

The work comes from Aksyonov Nikita who imagined the car as a “Police Interceptor” in Black and White with a light bar, spotlight, and other “LEO” attributes that include bigger brakes, steel wheels and a “Go ahead, make my day” attitude.

The designer started with the 2020 Corvette Stingray Coupe with the Z51 package as the starting point, and then added a Police Interceptor graphic covers the entire side of the car, while a “Protect and Serve” graphic graces the front wheel arches and a “911” sticker resides on the rear.

While the chances are low that a high-end vehicle like the Corvette would be used as a police car here in the United States, we almost expect it to show up in one of the Gulf states like the United Arab Emirates where they actually have supercars in their fleet of emergency vehicles.

  1. I think the light bar should be attached on the halo and not the top ! It would keep the glare off the Hood during short but Hot pursuit! As a high speed traffic car, you would be caught before you even knew you were being followed! And no, “I just thought you wanted to roll race!” Is not a defense for speeding. You want to race, find a track and this isn’t Mexico!
