Our coverage of the major Corvette events is never complete until we gather up some of the top vanity plates. Even though Bloomington Gold was held two months later than normal and at a new location, we still had plenty GR8 PL8S on hand at the Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
When it comes to personalized license plates, Corvette owners are the cream of the crop. They’re creative, witty, and even funny. There’s simply no ceiling when Corvettes owners are given the tag to create a custom tag for their ride. If 2020 had a vanity plate it would probably be CVID SUX.
The vanity plates at Bloomington Gold were right on par with what we’ve seen in the past. 1000HP adorned the back of a wild C3 restomod and 65 365AC was attached to a rare black/red 1965 365hp convertible with air conditioning. You don’t see one of those every day! Like most Corvettes, a red C6 got our ADRINLN flowing. SOOO FUN is exactly how we’d describe the 50th convertible it resided on. Elsewhere, we spotted Lance Miller’s Carlisle Blue ZR1 with 1 QUEST on the back. Finally, we ask YBE SLO to non-Corvette owners.
