We find one of the more intriguing colors for the 2020 Corvette to be the new Zeus Bronze. While some easily dismiss the color, it’s videos and photos like this where you can see how the brown metallic comes alive in the sun that has many Corvette enthusiasts taking a second look at the color.

It’s a niche color and almost certain to be one of the rarest colors on the 12 color palate which may make it even more desirable for those who want something new and different.

CorvetteBlogger contributor Jeremy Welborn does a walk around of the 2020 Corvette Stingray painted in Zeus Bronze at the National Corvette Museum’s 25th Anniversary Celebration and you can see how it looks in full sunlight. Additionally, I captured the same Stingray in both the early morning light as well as in the late afternoon with the sun beginning to set on the car.

The reception to this color sort of reminds us of some other niche colors like Sterling Blue and Black Rose Metallic. Those that have them are passionate about their particular shade and they almost always appreciate having a Corvette painted in a color that you don’t see every day.

I know I have built more than one Zeus Bronze Stingrays in the Corvette configurator. Is Zeus Bronze starting to grow on you? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Was my 1st choice with natural dipped interior, only thing holding me up is it’s the last color to be ordered making it delivered 3-4 months after the first 6 colors. They should put all 12 colors through at the same time.

  2. Yes, the Zeus Bronze color is intriguing. I’m not so sure about the new yellow, though. I still have mixed feelings about the C8’s styling. My 2016 3LT Z51, black over red, remains my favorite!

  3. Sorry that color will not do well. I predict it will be gone after 1 year. It could even be pulled early which would be no surprise.

  4. That is the ONLY paint (other than Black Rose Metallic) I’d consider on a C8 (tan interior).
White, red, yellow, black, gray, silver? SO freaking tired, already…?

  5. While there’s a lot to like about Zeus Bronze, especially with the tan interior, IMHO it needs a bit of contrasting body parts or panels to make it work. The black side scoop seems out of place with this color. Personally, I think if they added a bit of metallic gray or silver to the blend, it may increase the attractiveness of this color.

  6. Presently have a Black Rose C7 and for all the reasons listed have a Zues Bronze/Natural Dipped Interior on order. Definitely with body color moldings as black does nothing for this color. Agree it will be a limited edition color, but will be more popular than some people think based on the amount of attention it’s generated.

  7. I absolutely love this color. It’s the one I would go with. That’s if I could afford a new C8.

  8. Great color, might work better with gun metal wheels and trim

Not sure I would pull the trigger on that color (on a truck for sure) but I’m all in on the C8 for sure!

  9. I built one, just for kicks. I added the pewter wheels, had a C5 in light pewter metallic. Seeing it in different lighting makes it more attractive. I’ll keep my Admiral blue ’19.

  10. Just ordered one with two-tone tan interior and yellow calipers. Will have wheels painted when it arrives. Fantastic color.

  11. I wanted to like this color because it is unique, but too much brown and not enough gold. This is a Cadillac color that was not revised for Corvette.Brown cars have horrible resale value so I’m out.

  12. I love the color but I also have a 2017 Black Rose Z06, 1 of 261 in ’17. Body color moldings, the accents should be Visible Carbon Fiber with the Trident wheels in Spectra Grey Machined Face. Black interior with Red Stitching. Red Calipers and Red Engine appearance package for a little “pop.” I will wait until the Grand Sport or Z06 starts production before ordering. Chevrolet really “hit it out of the park” with the C8.

  13. Don’t like the color! The car is just bland! My black 2010 ZR1 looks so much better. If the ZO6 don’t do something for me and I mean really for me I will forever keep my Z and probably will anyway. There is no comparison!

  14. I’m just not feeling this color on the C8. I like my Daytona Sunrise Orange C7 a lot more. If I get a C8 it will have to either be Sebring Orange or Accelerate Yellow.

  15. I’m all in with the natural dripped interior, red calipers, Z51, 3LT, high wing spoiler and spectra grey trident spoke wheels.

  16. Thanks Keith did the visualizer build on it and that will be the one. Since the 2020 are pre-sold out I’m early on the list for the 2021’s…hopefully the Z06 will be available.
