There’s no better way to wrap up a great weekend at Corvettes at Carlisle than to participate in the annual downtown parade. It’s one of the best traditions in the hobby and it’s a sight to witness hundreds of Corvettes driving three-abreast on the streets of historic downtown Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
There was a bit of disappointment that there were no C8 Corvettes participating, but we already knew from previous experience that the EX-branded prototypes aren’t allowed to participate in these kinds of events. Judging from the crowds at the Carlisle fairgrounds, you know the Corvette Team would have loved to show off the next-generation Corvettes to the enthusiastic crowds that lined the streets.
As the cars drove by us in threes, we saw many Corvettes we know (along with their owners) and if you watch the first couple of minutes, you’ll hear Lance Miller give CorvetteBlogger a shout out!
We also ran into one of our new friends in the Corvette hobby. For those that follow Corvettes on YouTube, you’ll recognize Clarance Garner and his custom-wrapped Grand Sport bringing up the rear.
Following the parade, the CorvetteBlogger staff retired to Market Cross for our annual post-parade throwdown. We’ll spare you any more details on that. As always, it was great seeing everyone in Carlisle and we are already looking forward to next year!!
