Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Dec. 23rd

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays, Grand Sports, Z06s and ZR1s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

It has been a busy week for Mike as he worked to make Christmas Corvette dreams come true before the big day. How happy would you be if Santa stuck a ZR1 under your Christmas tree! This week Mike shares two more ZR1 deliveries, the 12,000 NCM Museum delivery takes place in Bowling Green, and customers from California, Florida and North Carolina are rewarded for their good behavior. ~The Holidays are in full swing and the Corvettes are flying out the door without any help from Santa’s Reindeer. I want to wish all my fellow Corvette Enthusiasts the happiest of holidays and healthiest of New Years. I’ve had many people write in over the years/decades that I have the best job in the World. The best part of my job is getting to meet so many Corvettes owners from across the World. I try to get to many Corvette events thru out the Year and I would say the one place that…well there are two places actually that I get to interact with the most Corvette brethren. 1st is Corvettes at Carlisle in Carlisle, PA. Held the end of August, only about 6,000 Corvettes spread out over 100 acres….100,000+ people attend. 2nd would be the Corvette Bash held at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Last week of April each year…or of course, my office inside the showroom at Criswell Chevrolet. I get Corvette visitors from all over the Globe and I wish I started writing notes 40+ years ago, could have written one heckuva book. ~Did you know that Larry Shinoda offered Santa the fastest Sleigh? Santa didn’t want to put the reindeer out of business…see pics below. ~side note…My old Boss(Gary K.) tells a great Larry Shinoda story. Gary made the mistake at a dinner party(mid 80’s) he and his wife were hosting at their Ridgewood, NJ home by sitting Larry Shinoda next to Zora Duntov at the table…well Zora was still angry at Shinoda for leaving Chevrolet and going to Ford …in the 60’s! Gary never sat them that close again.

~Cornelius B. of Ellicott City, Maryland last ordered a Corvette from me in 2014 and for his 4th Corvette he knew he wanted the highest horsepower possible. His new 2019 ZR1 has 755hp so it will most certainly check all the boxes for his stable. Cornelius factory ordered Black paint with Black interior, red stitching and Red seatbelts which really look good with the Carbon flash wheels and Red calipers. Equipment list includes: Competition Seats, personalized plaque, dual roof Pkg, Auto transmission, Performance air intake, 3ZR Pkg and much more. John K. of Seffner, Florida touched base with me 8 weeks ago to place his Factory order for a Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic 2019 Z06 Convertible. John has followed me on the various forums and he put together a beautiful Corvette order in which he just took Museum delivery this week at the Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Equipment list includes: 7 spd manual trans, Adrenaline Red interior and Black Convt top, Black Wheels, Navigation/PDR and 2LZ Pkg.

~Gary and Diane T. of Morgan Hill, California never would have believed all the fun and attention they would experience with their very first Corvette Factory order. Two months ago they hopped on a plane and flew 3,000 miles to meet me and walk my inventory so that Gary could order his life long Dream Corvette. Then they flew back home and waited for the Target production week so that they could schedule their Corvette Museum Delivery. I then set up Plycar Trucking to pick their new Grand Sport up and enclose ship it home to California after they complete the Corvette Museum Delivery in Bowling Green, KY. Today was Delivery day at the Museum and it looks like the whole Thompson family had a blast…and to top it off the Corvette Museum contacted me last week and informed me that this delivery was milestone Museum Delivery #12,000! Wow, what a way to start your very first Corvette ownership. ~Jimmy K. of Concord, North Carolina has followed me on the forums for years and he told his wife his next new Corvette they would be making the 400 mile drive North to see me. Last week I gave Jimmy a sight unseen trade value on his silver 16 Stingray Convt and a sale price on our in stock 2019 Torch Red Grand Sport Convt. We made the deal within minutes and he came up to make the switch. In and out within 90 minutes and they even brought me a really nice gift, a little taste of the South and very much appreciated. ~Artie B. of Athens, Alabama is a Racer from the word GO! Artie ordered from me a Shadow Gray 2019 ZR1 Cpe with the ZTK Track Performance Pkg. Tuesday he took delivery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Pictures don’t do this Corvette justice. Equipment list includes: Auto transmission, 3ZR Pkg, Competition Seats, Carbon flash painted wheels, Performance air intake and much more. Artie drove away with a big smile after the red carpet museum delivery.

~John M. of Miami, Oklahoma factory ordered his Elkhart Lake Blue 2019 Z06 to arrive at Criswell Chevrolet so our Corvette technicians could do the PDI and then have Plycar Trucking enclose trailer it to his home in Oklahoma. Equipment list: 2LZ Pkg, visible CF hood insert, visible CF ground effects Pkg, chrome badges, CF Instrument panel, 7spd manual transmission, yellow calipers, 10 spoke Blade Wheels, Navigation/PDR and much more. John is absolutely thrilled with his new Z06 in every way!
