My Book on Corvette Special Editions Is Now Available!

Twenty months ago I started writing my first book about Corvette Special Editions and today the book officially goes on sale! It’s a remarkable feeling of accomplishment and I am very excited for the next phase in this journey which will be to sell the book over at CorvetteSpecialEditions.com.

I was approached by CarTech Publishing over Thanksgiving weekend in November 2016 to see if I was interested in writing about Corvette Special Editions and I pretty much jumped at the chance! After all, I was already writing every day for CorvetteBlogger.com and while doing a book had always been in the back of my mind, the fact that I was approached for such a great topic made it an easy decision. FYI, Cartech is also offering a Special Editions book on Mustangs and the Camaro. What a great collection that will make!

In preparing to write the book, I generated a list of official 43 “official” Corvette Special Editions that range from the 1978 Silver Anniversary model to the 2018 Carbon 65! Although not official special editions, I thought it was important to take a look at some of the historic models and RPOs that Corvette collectors and enthusiasts consider today to be “special”. The final section of the book takes a look at some of the most popular third-party special editions from Motion Performance, Greenwood, Callaway, and others.

One of the goals was to present the cars as a group instead of chronologically, so I organized the Special Editions into six categories: Anniversary Editions, Indy 500 Pace Cars, Commemoratives and Tributes, Special Editions, Historic Corvettes, and Third Party Special Editions.

While I covered all the general info about each car, my goal was to find some story or nugget of information that may not be as well known about each of the special editions. We also turned to Corvette owners for photos of their special editions and I want to thank everyone who helped out!

Corvette Special Editions carries an MSRP of $44.95 by the publisher and I am offering signed copies for that price at CorvetteSpecialEditions.com. Many of you may not care whether it’s signed or not (Don’t worry, I’m not offended!), and if that’s the case, you can also purchase it at Amazon.com as well.

My first shipment of books is on the way from the publisher and I will be fulfilling the orders as quickly as possible. Corvette Special Editions is a 10×10 inch coffee table book and the cover featuring the 2017 Corvette Grand Sport Collector Edition with the #005 1963 Corvette Grand Sport is a definite conversation starter!

Thanks again for all your support and I hope you enjoy Corvette Special Editions!

  1. Is the “427 Convertible “ included as one of the special additions?
This car gets very little press.

  2. Keith, congratulations on your first book! I’ve been a fan of yours for a long time, and I am so happy for your success! I hope to pen a book someday about the Corvette, so it makes me doubly excited to see the success you’ve already had. I’m truly happy for you and will definitely purchase a copy (and would love to have it signed!)
