A Corvette driver suffered serious injuries when his black C4 coupe collided with a semi-truck in Sterling, Massachusetts on Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred about 10 a.m. at 115 Clinton Road when the Corvette, eastbound on Route 62, pulled out in front of an E.H. Perkins tractor-trailer headed westbound, authorities said.
The Corvette driver, from Lancaster, Massachusetts, had to be carried to UMass Medical Center, and authorities said he is conscious but has no memory of the crash.
“The driver’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening at this time,” Detective David Johnson of the Sterling Police Department said.
The driver of the 18-wheeler suffered minor injuries and refused treatment, signing a waiver at the scene.
Photos taken at the scene show the Corvette suffered major damage to the front end, while the 18-wheeler apparently had only minor damage.
Sterling Fire Chief David C. Hurlbut Jr. said the cause of the crash was unclear.
