Missed Bloomington Gold at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in June? No worries as the granddaddy of Corvette shows is offering a smaller version (the grand baby?) next month in Charlotte, NC. The smaller Bloomington will take place October 14th and 15th during the All Chevy Charity Car Show at the Rick Hendrick Museum.
“Bloomington Gold Corvettes is the longest running all Corvette Show and even after 44 years, the interest and passion for the show continues to grow. So when we found the perfect opportunity to hold a second show in a different region of the country, it only made sense to run with it,” states Guy Larsen, President and owner.
The diet version of Bloomington will feature 3 of the show’s most popular events including Certification judging for 1953-1972 Corvettes, a Gold Collection, and Gold School seminars. Those interested in Certification judging should contact Gail Manahan at 309.888.2588 or [email protected] for more information. Click Here to Register for Gold Certification.
The Charlotte Gold Collection’s theme will be “Corvette – 7 Generations”. The display will feature an elite selection Corvettes representing all generations or Corvette production. Here’s a quick look at some of the mind bending Corvettes you’ll see:
- C1: 1953, 1957, 1962 360HP FI Big Brake
- C2: 1963 Z06, 1965 Big Tank, 1967 435
