It’s time for another edition of Corvette Vanity Plates. This time we’re showing our favorite plates we spotted at Corvettes at Carlisle. Given the thousands of Corvettes in attendance we had plenty of creative tags to choose from.
Over the course of the 4-day weekend we covered every inch of the Carlisle fairgrounds. We checked out the NCRS Gallery, the for sale lot, the 50th Anniversary 1966 Corvette display, and NCCC show and everything in between.
Some of our favorites this year included “DUNTOV66” on a stunning 1966 C2 in the NCRS Gallery, “CAUTION” on a bright yellow C6 Grand Sport, and “60IN4SEC” on a blue C6. Savvy C4 ZR1 owners will understand what “KEYS ON” is referring to. Hapless Mustang drivers may not quite get it. Fans of The X Files will appreciate “TRSTNO1” on a matte black C4.
We tend to see a few categories of plates each time we assemble a vanity plate gallery. Plates like “YEL FEVR” describe the hue of the car’s paint. “4CAM 32V” and “RPO LT1” hint at what lies under the hood of the Corvette their attached to while plates like “WHY W8” indicate what the owner was thinking when acquiring his or her Corvette.
If we had a vanity plate it would be “CVTBLGR”. Like always, if you have a cool plate on your Corvette tell us about it in the Comments below, post it on our Facebook page or Tweet us at @CorvetteBlogger and show us what you’ve got. If you see your plate in our gallery of GR8 PL8s be sure to give yourself a shout out as well.
