I haven’t seen one of these kits out in the wild yet so I thought these photos would be worth sharing.
What we are looking at is a 2016 Corvette Stingray with the Arctic White ground effects kit from Genuine Corvette Accessories.
We first saw these painted ground effects kits at the Corvette Museum’s NCM Bash back in April of this year.
The kit includes a front splitter and side rocker panels. The front splitter is similar to the Level 1 Aero Kit on the Z06 as it has the small winglets on each of the sides. This is a dealer-installed kit so even if you didn’t order it originally with your car, you can purchase the kit through the parts window and have it installed by your dealer.
There are several color options for the GCA Ground Effects kit. Buyers can choose from five different colors which are Gray, White, Carbon Flash, Blue and Red. An Exposed Carbon Fiber is also available as is a “Paint to Match” version if you want to color match it to one of the other production colors like Yellow, Orange or Night Race Blue.
Here are the available colors, parts numbers and prices as listed on Chevrolet.com:
- Ground Effects, Paint To Match (23495174) – $2,700.00
- Ground Effects, Gray (23495177) – $3,000.00
- Ground Effects, White (23495175) – $3,000.00
- Ground Effects, Carbon Flash (23495172) – $3,000.00
- Ground Effects, Blue (23495176) – $3,000.00
- Ground Effects, Red (23495179) – $3,000.00
- Ground Effects, Exposed Carbon Fiber (23495173) – $4,000.00
The painted ground effects from Genuine Corvette Accessories is another way Corvette owners can personalize their rides. Back at the NCM Bash, a Laguna Blue Corvette Stingray was shown with the Gray colored Ground Effects kit which gave the car a nice contrast as well and we think the gray would also go nicely on a Black Corvette. But for the owner who wants a single-color Corvette, these painted ground effects kits would pair well with the EFY – Body Color Vents option.
We found pics of this 2016 Corvette Stingray for sale at Jorns Chevrolet in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. If you are interested, give our friend Peter Beane a call at (844) 204-2931.
