A father and son outing Thursday morning ended in an abrupt crash into a utility pole in Mahwah, N.J.
Police say a customized yellow C5 Corvette being driven by Richard Berger, 52, of Monsey, N.Y., went out of control at 9:22 a.m. at 123 Airmont Ave.
He wasn’t injured in the crash, but his son, Meir Dacid Berger, 23, also of Monsey, had to be airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center after he was extricated from the Corvette after being pinned inside for 45 minutes.
Police Chief James Batelli said the son’s injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
He said the accident remains under investigation.
