It’s never nice to see a C7 Corvette Stingray involved in an accident, but this time at least it wasn’t a speeding Corvette at fault.

The Torch Red Corvette with Adrenaline Red interior and black wheels suffered extensive damage to the passenger side after the wreck Sunday afternoon in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada.

Police say the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 897 and Highway 16 when a southbound Jeep Compass ran a stop sign and struck the passenger side of the Stingray.

In a photo, the back of the Corvette’s front fender is missing and apparently lying on the ground near the car, part of the front spoiler has been ripped off, and the door is resting against the back fender.

Fortunately, the passenger in the Stingray suffered non-life threatening injuries but was transported to a hospital.

The driver of the Compass, meanwhile, was carried to the Lloydminster RCMP for a breathalyzer test.
