ProTeam Corvette: 1968 L88 Corvette Has Documented Drag Racing History

Our friends at ProTeam Corvette are hosting a Tax Time Sale which has 14 rare and highly coveted Corvettes discounted from their regular prices. The sale pricing is in effect through April 15th at Noon or upon notice by Pro Team.

One of the Corvettes on Terry’s list that caught our eye was an unrestored 1968 L88 Corvette Convertible with a drag racing history.

The 1968 L88 Corvette began its life in Michigan, delivered at Denooyer Chevrolet in Battle Creek. The Polar White Convertible with Bright Blue interior was equipped with a roll bar and was soon taking down the competition on the local tracks with an occasional trip to Indy and Daytona.

One of the more interesting notes is that at one time it was thought to be Zora Arkus-Duntov’s press car.

The Corvette is powered by an L88 replacement Tonawanda IT motor with no VIN stamp. It’s documented with its tank sticker and owner history going back new and includes early race history and photos. The odometer reads 75,858 miles and the condition is rated as Good Unrestored.
