Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but someone could get an early start on 2016 with these two his-and-hers 1964 Corvette convertibles up for auction as a pair on eBay.
The previous owner had planned to restore the tan, automatic transmission car for his wife and the blue, four-speed car for himself, but for health reasons, now he is hoping to sell both cars to the same person.
Here are some more details about the cars:
The blue car does have a motor and transmission, though the auction house says they have “no idea” what kind of condition they’re in, saying just that they “look clean but not complete.” Paint code is 916 – Daytona Blue. Trim code is 490k – Dark Blue interior. VIN is 40867S119370. Frame has been cleaned and painted, and car has “really nice” tires.
The tan car doesn’t have a motor or transmission, but it’s set up for an automatic transmission. The paint code is 932 – Saddle Tan. Trim code is 898 – Black interior. VIN is 40867S104066. Frame has surface rust only, never cleaned. The car has brand new tires.
Both cars will require very little body work before painting them, according to the eBay listing. The windshields are sitting in place and will be taped in for transport.
Both cars will also need headlight assemblies and various other parts. All parts shown in the pictures are included with the cars, the auction house says, “nothing else is included.”
The buyer will need to trailer the cars since neither of them is running.

As of Tuesday Morning, the auction has had 27 bids with the current high bid at $34,300. There are still four days left and the auction will close Saturday at 3pm ET.
Let’s hope someone will complete the restoration work that was originally planned for these two Corvettes and they are once again returned to the glory they enjoyed 51 years ago.
