[ACCIDENT] C6 Corvette Driver Taken to Hospital After Slamming into a Rock Wall

A 2011 dark red Corvette was torn to pieces after the driver lost control and slammed into a wall in East El Paso, Texas on Sunday night.

Police said the man hit the rock wall surrounding the Cielo Vista Apartments after losing control as he headed north on Airway Boulevard near the Edgemere intersection.

As you might expect from the video, the driver suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to University Medical Center for treatment.

Police had to block off Airway Boulevard at the Edgemere intersection for nearly three hours after the accident, which occurred at 10:30 p.m. The scene was finally cleared around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Police could not immediately say if alcohol or speed contributed to the crash.
