February 2011 Corvette Sales

We got the February 2011 sales figures from General Motors and its been a rare moment when we can say Corvette sales are up over the previous month as well as up in the year to date figure. Last month, 955 Corvettes were delivered to new homes, a 53% increase from the mere 624 Corvettes sold in the same month in 2010. For the calendar year, 1,676 Corvettes have been delivered which is a 13.4% increase over the first two months of 2010.

We have to believe that the free driving school incentive to Bondurant and Spring Mountain helped spur Corvette sales last month. That was a great idea and I would like to see Chevy offer it again. Checking Chevrolet.com, we see a current offer of 0% financing for up to 72 months of $4,000 cash allowance on all 2010 Corvettes.

We also have good news when it comes to our ability to look at real time inventories of Corvettes. Jeff Hardy’s website is up and running and 2011 Corvettes can now be searched. We show 4,768 Corvettes on the ground with 3,859 2011 Corvettes, 871 2010 Corvettes and 38 2009 Corvettes.
