Next up in our preview of Barrett-Jackson Corvettes is Lot # 413, a red 1973 Coupe being sold for charity. This L48 powered Vette will cross the block on Wednesday, January 19th about 30 cars prior to the 1981 Corvettes we previewed a couple days back. All proceeds will go to the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation.
The owner of this 1958 Corvette had the typical dream to restore this C1 straight axle but never got around too it. And so it sat outside for several years in the North Georgia weather with only a tarp to protect it. The time had finally come to sell it and so the owner placed an ad for the Corvette on Craigslist early Christmas morning.
Our Christmas tradition continues with the 6th annual repost of “Twas The Night Before Christmas – Corvette Style”. The Corvette remix of this holiday classic continues to be one of our favorite posts. As always, I’d like to wish everyone who visits CorvetteBlogger a very Merry Christmas and Christmas wishes go out to the men and women serving our country in the Armed Forces both home and abroad. God Bless you all!
The Speed Business is a web-based documentary/reality show detailing a behind the scenes look at Blackdog Racing and team owner/driver Tony Gaples. Produced by Patrick Gramm (Vette Garage, Vette Girl), the show promises to take the viewer to places race fans rarely see…in the pits, in the garage and behind the wheel right in the middle of all the action as Blackdog Racing campaigns in the 2005 SCCA Pro Racing “Speed World Challenge” series.
This 1969 Corvette T-Top Coupe had been left in the care of mother nature for an extended length of time with predictable results. No explanation as to why it came to be parked and left to the weather and rodents. Was it as simple as “it’s not running right, I’ll fix it next week” or maybe “not sure what the knocking noise is but better not drive it”?

The June 23rd – 26th, 2011 event to be held at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL will divide up its Survivor, Gold Certification, and Benchmark judging across 3 days for this year’s show. Previously, Survivor judging had been on Thursdays, Gold Certification on Fridays, and the drive-through awards ceremony on Saturday morning.
