Well, we’ve got 2 reasons to be bummed out today. Reason number one is that it’s Monday again. Reason number is that Corvettes at Carlisle is over and we have to wait a year for the next one. The good news is that there’s a 3 day weekend rapidly approaching. While we tick down to Labor Day we kick off the week the best way we know how – celebrating the 1963–1967 Corvettes. Today we look back at some of the midyear gems seen last weekend at Corvettes at Carlisle.
The 2017 edition of Corvettes at Carlisle will be one to remember. We can’t recall better weather at any Corvette event. We had 4 full days of upper 70’s, low humidity, and blue skies. Over the course of the weekend, we perused the for sale corral, the Fun Field, swap meet, the NCRS Gallery, and the Chip’s Choice display checking out the great 2nd generation Corvettes.
While the 8 (of the 16 known to exist) L88’s in the Chip Choice display were the highlight, we saw basically every other combination there too. Coupes, convertibles, fuelies, big blocks, and even big tanks were in attendance. So let’s begin our Carlisle recap with a midyear flavored look at the weekend that was in Pennsylvania.
