A new Callaway Corvette owner recently made some high speed runs in his 2016 757-horsepower Callaway Z06 at the Mojave Magnum, the 1.5 mile event run on a 12,500 ft airport runway at the Mojave Air and Space Port.
The 2016 Callaway SC757 Corvette Z06 attacking the runway was optioned with an 8-speed auto and the Z07 Performance Package. The SC757 package from Callaway makes 757 horsepower and 777 lb-ft of torque.
The owner had set up the car’s aerodynamics for a top speed run by removing the wicker bill from the rear spoiler as well as front canards on the front spliter.
The Mojave Magnum’s official timing clocked the Callaway SC757’s fastest run of the day at 202.3 on the 1.5 miles course. You will see the Corvette’s Performance Data Recorder hit 205 mph at the very end of the run before the trottle is lifted and the car starts to slow down.
In addition to the high speed run, the PDR also recorded the Callaway’s performance stats:
- 0-60 mph – 3.9 seconds
- 0-100 moh – 7.30 seconds
- Quarter Mile – 11.50 seconds
The car sits for a minute when the video starts so jump ahead to the 1 minute mark to watch the Callaway Z06 make its 10th and fastest run of the day:
