Corvette Funfest to Feature 38 Special; Registration Extended

Get ready for some really “Special” times at the Corvette Funfest next month.

The longtime rock band 38 Special will be performing at the Funfest on Sept. 20 as part of the “World’s Largest Corvette Party” put on by Mike Yager and Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, Ill.

Their show will be part of the 21st annual event sponsored by Mid America Motorworks, and guests will hear classic rock hits from the ’80s like “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up in You,” “Back Where You Belong,” and “Rockin into the Night.”

“We can’t wait to welcome 38 Special to Corvette Funfest and Mid America Motorworks,” said Mike Yager, the company’s Founder and Chief Cheerleader. “Every year we try to top the year before, and I know 38 Special is going to deliver one amazing show!”

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and get ready for the rockin’ starting at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at the 14,000-seat Funfest Amphitheater.

The Funfest is set for Sept. 18-21 at Mid America Motorworks’ corporate campus, with the concert bringing four days of fun to a close after honoring America’s Armed Forces with a “Vets with Vettes” theme.

Enthusiasts from all over the world attend Corvette Funfest to celebrate all aspects of America’s Sports Car, from seminars and displays, to outstanding entertainment.

Be prepared again this year for expert technical seminars, veteran displays and tributes, celebrity guests, a Fun Run Road Tour, Annual Charity Event, Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall®, Celebrity Choice Awards, on-site installations and much more.

Registration Extended

In other Funfest news, Preferred pricing for Corvette Funfest: Vets with Vettes is EXTENDED through Monday, Sept. 1!

“Mid America Motorworks is extending Corvette Funfest preferred pricing through Monday, September 1. That means Corvette enthusiasts planning to attend the annual event in Effingham, Ill. can still take advantage of lower registration rates through the entire month of August!
