Corvette owners love to modify their cars, and usually that’s a good thing. But unfortunately, sometimes those mods can cause owners more grief than they are worth.

It was last April that we first learned about an owner who had been denied having his C8 Corvette front lift serviced under warranty because he had installed aftermarket lowering collars.

The writing has been on the wall for Corvette Racing for some time now as we’ve seen the various racing series moving away from hosting factory-backed programs in the GT racing classes. Now with Chevrolet introducing its new Z06 GT3.R-spec racers in 2024, it was made official that Corvette Racing will end operations as support from GM Racing will flow to the individual teams.

As this is the first full week of June, we were expecting Chevrolet dealers to receive their allocation numbers and constraints today as part of the final order cycle for the 2023 Corvette Stingray, but that didn’t happen.

Things quite literally returned to Normal last weekend as Bloomington Gold continued their 50th anniversary celebration. The 2023 Bloomington Gold Corvette show set up shop on the campus of Illinois State University in the city of Normal, Il for the 2nd year in a row. With abundant sunshine and temps in the mid-90’s both days it was nice to have indoor activities to escape to when things got hot outside.

It’ll be the last race for the Corvette C8.R – and the Corvette Racing factory team – at the famed event in the GTE category, which is being phased out in favor of LMGT3 where factory teams are not allowed.
