2027 Corvette Z06 Heads to Australia with Interior Updates and Hefty Price Cut

With inflation continuing to eat away at wallets around the globe, Australian Corvette enthusiasts looking to put a new C8 Z06 in their garage just received some unexpected good news.

Instead of the usual price increase that accompanies a new model year and additional features, the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is actually getting substantially cheaper Down Under.

The new Z06 will be priced at $299,990 Australian dollars plus on-road costs, a $36,010 reduction from the previous $336,000 price.

That’s particularly surprising because buyers aren’t getting a stripped-down version of America’s mid-engine supercar in exchange for the lower price.

The 2027 model benefits from the Corvette’s latest updates, including a redesigned interior highlighted by a three-screen layout, new technology and connected services, along with a redesigned center console.

Australian buyers will also get a different ordering experience.

The 2027 Z06 will be offered exclusively through a build-to-order program, allowing customers to personalize their cars with available colors, wheels, carbon-fiber components and the track-oriented Z07 Performance Package.

New exterior colors for 2027 include Pitch Grey Metallic, Admiral Blue Metallic and Roswell Green Metallic.

Of course, the centerpiece of the Z06 remains behind the passenger compartment.

Its naturally aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 V8 produces 475kW and 595Nm — roughly 637 horsepower and 439 lb-ft of torque — without turbochargers, superchargers or electric assistance.

The flat-plane-crank LT6 is billed as the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever installed in a production car, and it remains what separates the Z06 from the rest of the Australian Corvette lineup.
