Corvettes for Sale: 2016 Corvette Z06 With LMR's 900-HP Package Offered on Cars and Bids

If the stock 650 horsepower C7 Z06 doesn’t quite scratch the itch, this wild Arctic White 2016 model on Cars & Bids might do the trick.

This Z06 has been outfitted with Late Model Racecraft’s full 900 HP E85 Performance Package, and with four days left, bidding sits at just $14,000, a number certain to climb as enthusiasts take notice.

The car, showing 26,000 miles and a clean Carfax, has lived its entire life in Texas. More importantly, it has lived much of that life under the wrench of Late Model Racecraft, one of the country’s most respected Corvette performance shops. The seller notes a long list of upgrades, and LMR’s own video — posted in January 2024 — walks viewers through the extensive work.

“This includes a cold-air intake, larger throttle body, Kong Performance ported factory LT4 blower, LMR cam kit, upgraded fuel system with a flex fuel sensor, P3 gauge to monitor ethanol percentage, headers and exhaust, breather system, pulleys, and various supporting accessories,” the shop explains in the video.

According to LMR, the owner originally brought the car in for a mild upgrade — headers, intake, and a tune — which bumped the Z06 to around 600 rear wheel horsepower. But like many Corvette owners, he wanted more. Six months later, the car returned for the full 900 horsepower treatment.

The shop retained the factory 1.7 liter LT4 supercharger but maximized it with CNC porting, a custom grind camshaft, titanium double valve springs, chromoly pushrods, a 103 mm billet throttle body, and stainless long tube headers. A flex fuel kit allows the car to run on 93 octane for daily driving or E85 for maximum output.

LMR says the car currently makes around 870 rear wheel horsepower on its present ethanol blend — “somewhere where we stopped,” the tuner notes — with the potential to reach the full 900 depending on fuel content and cooling upgrades.

Other notable mods, according to the seller, include Roto-Fab Big Gulp cold-air intake system, 9.24″ 15% supercharger drive damper pulley, LMR trunk-mounted ice tank with EMP pump and upgraded heat exchanger, no catalytic converters, and P3 Gauges ethanol gauge with OBD II display.

Despite the extreme output, LMR emphasizes that the car remains surprisingly livable. “It still idles and drives on full direct injection,” the tuner says. “You can drive this car every day to work on 93 octane… then when you want to go play with your buddies on the weekends, put E85 in it and you instantly gain your extra 100 horsepower.”

The owner reportedly uses the car as a weekend toy but still drives it to dinner, to baseball games, and around town. The factory mufflers remain in place, allowing the car to be quiet when needed — though the ported blower’s whine is unmistakable at wide open throttle.

To help manage traction, the car wears Toyo Proxes R888R tires. Even so, LMR warns that first and second gear remain “sketchy,” with third gear finally hooking hard enough to deliver the car’s full fury.

The listing has already drawn attention from commenters. One bidder wrote, “This car is not for beginners.” Another praised LMR’s tuning: “My car drove and performed flawlessly… I have faith in Steve and his tuning abilities.”

With its extensive modification list, clean history, and documented shop work, this Z06 is one serious build. It may not pass emissions in some states, but for the right buyer, it’s a rare chance to own a street drivable Corvette capable of supercar level performance.

  1. Nice car but how hard has it been driven? Guess you can’t take it to your local Chevy dealership for repairs if you live in another state like NY. Buyers pool is smaller and the investment in the car will never be recouped. I keep mine close to stock with simple mods. It’s fast enough for street driving.
