Yesterday we had a story about the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport and shared some of the initial production data that included the top exterior colors ordered so far. We also found that just 11 customers have ordered the Z52 Track Package which is less than 1% of the total 1,223 total Corvette Grand Sports produced so far.
That last bit of data was captured from the GM Build Counts website which allows us to sort through the window stickers of these already-produced Corvettes. As we were doing that yesterday, I sorted all current 2027 Corvette Grand Sports built so far and I was able to see both the cheapest and most expensive GS builds to date.
As for the cheapest Grand Sport built to date, we have just one 2027 Corvette Grand Sport 1LT Coupe that was ordered with just the $500 Admiral Blue exterior for an MSRP of $88,995. The most expensive Grand Sport built for the USA market is an Arctic White Convertible with an MSRP of $155,009. While you may be thinking, “Ah, this must be one lone Grand Sport Convertible with the Z52 Track Package and the Z06 carbon aero,” you would be incorrect.
This Arctic White Convertible is VIN 1G1YV3D56V5300513 and it includes the visible Carbon Fiber wheels and carbon ceramic brakes, but the owner instead went with the Z52 Sport Package and then loaded the car with a number of desirable options. That includes Front Lift, a visible carbon fiber grille, the Center Quad Exhaust, and the Grand Sport Launch Edition interior. But wait that’s not all!
Other options on this Grand Sport include:
• Level 1 Carbon Fiber Interior ($1,795)
• Red Suede Frunk and Rear trunk compartment trim ($2,095)
• Grille Screen Protection ($1,675)
• Visible Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps ($1,395)
• Carbon Flash Nacelles and Roof ($1,295)
• Convertible Engine Appearance Package ($1,195)
• Carbon Flash Heritage Hash Marks ($995)
• Edge Red Brake Calipers ($795)
• Stealth Interior Trim Package ($695)
• Illuminated Crossed Flags Emblem ($695)
• LS6 Red Engine Cover ($595)
• Premium Indoor Car Cover ($495)
• Contoured Liner Protection Package ($475)
• Clear Spoiler Bridge ($425)
• Black Lug Nuts ($320)
• 3 Years of SiriusXM ($299)
• Carbon Flash Outside Mirrors ($295)
• Accessory Wheel Caps ($250)
• Highway Safety Kit ($150)
• Rear Fascia and Roof Storage Protector ($150)
• Black Wheel Locks ($105)
• Battery Protection Plan ($100)
The options alone on this Corvette Grand Sport come in at over $50,000 and the buyer did score a discount of $3,005 with the Carbon Fiber Wheels and Brakes Package that brought the MSRP down from $158,014 to the $155,009 shown on the website. I’m going to go out on a limb here and proclaim this build to be a 1 of 1 for sure!
The GMBuildCounts.com website also shows Canadian orders mixed in with the USA VINs. The most expensive listing for a Grand Sport in the Great White North is a 3LT Grand Sport Cabriolet that comes in at $182,903 CAD, which is roughly $130,000 USD.
In one of the videos made by Korey at Paragon Performance, he made a point that said because the pricing of the Grand Sport can easily get into Z06 territory, buyers are really making a conscious decision first about which engine they want. While the Z06 buyer wants that high revving flat-plane crank engine and its unique sound, the Grand Sport provides a slightly cheaper alternative with its monster low-end torque and also features a classic V8 soundtrack that rumbles and cracks.
With that extra money on the table, Grand Sport buyers can then add more options to make the car their own. Which apparently is something that this Grand Sport customer has done.

Getting into high depreciation territory. Look at Z06 prices, they have always done better than the Grand Sport.
Could have had a GSX or a Z06. And it isn’t just $50,000 in options (plus the cost of trim level). It’s that the GS offers tepid performance over a Z51 (if there are any tangible benefits at all). At $155,000–you can have TWO base Z51’s (MSRP $78,890). There is no scenario where having the AWD variant or upgrading to the LT6–isn’t a better place to spend money.
This car will be worth $100,000 by the time 3 years are up; literally losing a third of its value. The only thing the owner will have bragging rights on–is having one of the highest depreciating C8’s on the planet.
Very strange getting the carbon fiber wheels without the Track package.
The dude spent all that money to get a loaded up Grand Sport that isn’t eye catching enough to hardly get a second glance because of it’s plain vanilla refrigerator white paint.
Look they got what they wanted. Makes no difference to me.
But the truth is if you order a Z06 with the same or similar options it will cost you $30k more. You load up a Z it gets even more expensive.
The Cheap Z’s are often used, lower option and too often odd colors. I know I tried to find what I wanted and none are out there in a color or the interior I want.
So for $30k less the GS gives me what I want and only 3 tenths slower that really don’t matter.
Also I don’t care about the engine noise it is cool force while but gets old after a long trip.
Just be happy that GM offers so many options to make everyone happy.
Depreciation on all Corvettes will hit hard accept the ZR1 and X. These are not investments. You will lose value for we years and might get back to sticker price if lucky.
Why is the Z a deal now because they did not sell. Roswell green was not a good choice. Or the depreciation of a used one hit.
I’m calling shenanigans. ER’s are far, far, FAR harder to find in colors/trim desired–than any Z06. Why split hairs and be a purist over “RWD only”, but then act indifferent about LT6 vs LS6? Makes no sense, @2m6.
Quicker/cheaper already has existed. And you wouldn’t need to own a 1LZ coupe Z06 in poverty spec; 2LZ HTC ER’s sell cheaper.
No, what this actually is: someone who talked a big game about the ER being “too expensive” and “too heavy” and then turns around and spends double Z51 pricing to “look the part” without any of the actual performance benefits.
People are still out here sleeping on the tremendous value the E-Ray always has been. Lunatics with more money than sense. It was already a 20k value over the Z06 (after GGT and CCB’s were factored into MSRP). All of a sudden that “30k savings” of the GS over the Z06…starts looking quite tepid. Insanity that people will spend 20 grand on visible carbon fiber bits–but will balk when you ask them to spend 10 grand on adding 186hp/145tq & AWD with the GSX.
