Like father, like son?
Hopefully not, at least in this case as a laid-back weekend car gathering morphed into a moment of automotive mayhem when a father-son duo accidentally turned their GM dream machines into bumper bashers.
What started as a shared passion for high-performance cruising ended with smashed panels and a story that will no doubt be a topic of conversation at future family gatherings.
The scene, shared on Instagram, unfolds on a quiet two-lane stretch lined with gleaming show cars. The son, behind the wheel of an Admiral Blue C7 Corvette Z06, gently decelerates for a right-hand turn into an adjacent display row. Moments later, the dad’s four-door Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing caroms into view, going way too fast for the conditions as he finds the Vette crawling slower than expected.
In an instinctive swerve, the Blackwing tucks in too tightly. Had he gone the other direction, he would have hit an oncoming vehicle head-on. Instead, the Caddy’s front bumper clips the Corvette’s right rear quarter panel, sending shards of paint and fiberglass raining onto the pavement. The Z06 spins into the grass, while the Cadillac coasts to a halt just yards away, its front end concealed behind a swirl of dust.
Neither car was prepared for this family-style fender bender. The Corvette’s once-sleek flank now bears the scars of the collision, and though the Cadillac’s damage remains hidden in the clip, you can bet that proud Blackwing grille took a hit.
What distracted dad in the “Dadillac”? Maybe the flash of chrome from a neighbor’s showpiece, or simply a misjudged closing speed. Whatever the cause, one thing’s certain: this is one highlight reel the father-son duo won’t soon forget.

Dumba**
Wasn’t a brake check? Oops.
At least it wasn’t a CT6 Blackwing. With the LTA engine. Far more rare.
Incoming!!

Better let Daddy lead the way the next time, if there is a next time.
Too bad, they were nice cars.
