This customized 2012 Corvette ZR1 said to have been owned by Hennessey Performance at one time is now up for sale on Craigslist by the current owner.
With an asking price of $76,000, the seller admits he’s only getting rid of his classic C6 because he has too many cars, too many tags, too much insurance expenses, and “this one has to go,” despite his claim that it was his dream car for a long time.
“I love the car,” he goes on, describing it as the “best handling car I’ve had.” Indeed, “everything they say about the ZR1 and how amazing it is is very true,” he adds.
Noting that his Blade Silver ZR1 is in “great” condition, with “ice cold” air conditioning, the seller notes that despite the modifications, the car “almost drives stock” and “turns heads everywhere,” with lots of “thumbs-up.”
“Only a couple of small rock chips” mar the paint, but they’re “nothing major at all,” he says.
In the three years he’s owned the car, he’s never had any issues with it, claiming it’s “ready to drive anywhere, anytime.”
For the gearheads out there, mods include K&N carbon fiber cold air intake, LME springs, pushrods, stock lifters, LD1350 injectors, DSX flex fuel pump, DSX auxiliary fuel pump, Innovatos West lower pulley, Lingenfelter upper pulley with approximately 13 lbs. of boost, Kooks 2-inch headers with off roadX pipe, larger heat exchanger and expansion tank. He’s also installed new Forgestar wheels and a new battery, re-did the dash, and completed an E-85 Flex Fuel conversion, along with “way more things” too numerous to list.
The seller says he won’t allow any joy riders “as it is a very powerful car,” producing more than 700 horsepower now, but he invites interested parties to bring their mechanic to check it out.
