People Want to Know the Story on this Dusty and Abandoned C6 Corvette ZR1

The world wants to know right now why a beautiful C6 Corvette ZR1 has been sitting in a Texas garage, apparently for months, now covered with dust and apparently abandoned by its owner.

If you can solve this mystery, be sure to let the internet know as soon as possible so everyone can quit worrying about something that isn’t really our business at all.

According to a post on Reddit, the dark gray ZR1 – worth an estimated $80,000 to more than $100,000, based on current listings – has an inspection sticker that expired last year. Now, this 638-horsepower behemoth of a Chevy is just sitting all forlorn in a parking garage.

Theories about the mystery have been posted on Reddit, with some suggesting the owner might have died leaving behind no family, his military deployment ran over, and the battery for the key fob died and he just decided to buy another car. Could it be that the car isn’t actually abandoned and just in need of a serious wash job? Or maybe the owner just can’t remember where he last parked the car and doesn’t have a tracking device on it.

While those might be plausible explanations, it seems like a better bet just to wait on the owner to eventually return. Folks are mighty impatient these days, so maybe someone could hire a sleuth to solve the mystery by tracking down ownership through the VIN or the license plate (assuming there is one on the car).

What are your theories why this valuable car was abandoned?

  1. the owner is in prison , he don’t care about the car , he actually expects someone to take it….. the Feds have the fob but since most Gov employees are DEI or Affirmative Action hires , they are too stupid to locate it. he , also , hinted around that there may be a surprise for the one that takes it… he also owns the place where it is stored…..now , don’t tell anyone but I made all this BS up….. smile and have a fun day

Can’t be Texas car no front plate.

Really? I’ve lived here 30 years now and have NEVER put a front license plate on any of my cars…and never will.
