The Corvette Nation has never seen anything like the all new 2025 Corvette ZR1. With its amazing new LT7 twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 1,064-hp, it can launch you into next week with a 0-60 mph time of 2.3 seconds while its official top speed cracked 233 mph! In the immortal words of Han Solo, “She’s fast enough for you, old man.”
The ZR1s are now being produced and shipped for customers from the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Built on the same production line as the C8 Corvette Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06, the ZR1 receives its own impressive list of track-ready equipment. It all starts with the 5.5L twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 which are hand-assembled inside the plant and signed by the name of the Performance Build Center specialist who put it all together.

We first saw this action video of the ZR1 inside the plant as it was played at the Michelin NCM Bash back in April during Ray Theriault’s Assembly Plant Seminar, but we haven’t seen it as a stand-alone video. Now it’s back thanks to this recent news article appearing at GM.com.
In this quick video shot and produced by the Corvette Assembly Plant’s Rachel Bagshaw, you will see the Corvette ZR1s in various stages of assembly. We see the engine and transmission mounted together and then the marriage is performed as the powertrain is lifted up into the car. We see several different colors of ZR1s, and waiting for us at the end is a Competition Yellow 2025 Corvette ZR1 with the High Wing on display.
As Corvette enthusiasts, we get such a limited view of the workings inside the plant these days as visitor tours have been suspended for much of C8 production. We always enjoyed seeing how the workers went about doing their tasks, and we’d thank them along the way as we could. That’s something I really miss, and perhaps the plant workers do as well. So, thanks again if you’re one of those building America’s Favorite Sports Car!
