~4/21/25~Today I flew from Maryland to Nashville, TN and then drove the 60 miles to Bowling Green, KY. Met up with the former Corvette Plant Mgr, Kai Spande for dinner at Montana Grille. I truly enjoy conversations with friends that I only see once per year but yet we pick up where we last left off. We text here and there throughout the year about Corvette stuff, mostly old Corvettes that Kai has purchased to restore. Tonight was fun, food was good as always and it was great to catch up. Kai drove his 2023 Red Mist Z06 convertible and it glistened in the setting Sun!
~2025 ZR1 in motion. Very sedate at low speeds very powerful with a mere 1,064 Horsepower.
~Tuesday 4/22/25~ This morning I met up with Chuck Valentini, the Paint and body shop mgr for the Corvette Plant in BG, KY. We usually play a few rounds together every year, once at his Golf Club in April and twice in July as we vacation in Ocean City, MD at the same time. We had an absolute blast and the weather was 78 and sunny! Then we met up with some fellow Corvette friends at Montana Grille for dinner.

~GM engineers driving/testing the ZR1’s on site today at the Corvette Plant/Museum.
~I am visiting the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY this week and I was inside speaking with Betty, the longest tenured employee at the Museum. I viewed an Indy 500 pace car plate on the counter behind her. I asked and she had a box of these 2007 Indy 500 Pace Car license plates at $50 per. I bought the lowest numbered plate available, #8. They had approx 75 of them up to number 499. Give Betty a call if you collect these plates or if you own a 2007 Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car! They are all mint.
~Thursday 4/24/25~ National Corvette Museum pictures from today’s Bash in Bowling Green, KY.
~Today at The Museum 4/25/25~ In a matter of seconds I came upon “ The Fab 5 of Michigan”…each of these 5 Customer’s have bought multiple Corvettes from me and all reside in Michigan! Fun stuff inside the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
~Standing with the newly appointed President/CEO of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY…Bryce Burklow. I am very confident that the Corvette Museum is in great hands.
~Lynne D. and her husband Brian are now from Tennessee (transplanted from Maine) and I met them through mutual friends Wednesday evening in Bowling Green. She mentioned that she has a 2007 Ron Fellows edition car#9. So I gave Ron Fellows a quick call on my cell and then he called me back. Well as you can tell by the perma grin on her face that she was not expecting to speak with Ron Fellows but made the best of it. The table of 25 watched as she tuned us all out and rightfully so. A call she won’t soon forget!

~The reason I enjoy what I do for the Corvette community…this is a heartfelt post by Melanie M. Of Gypsum, Colorado after she took delivery of her new Hysteria Purple 2025 Corvette Eray Convertible at the Corvette Museum yesterday.
“
I’m a bit hesitant to post this because I know it may come off as I’m trying to brag or showoff, and I AM . . . but for ALL of the people that got me, with Tim, to THIS PLACE!!!
This is ALSO for EVERYONE that gives us a side-eye and asks, “Bowling Green, Kentucky???? Why are you going to Kentucky?”
First, my sweet husband has worked his TAIL OFF to be able to give me, as well as our WHOLE family, the things that we have!! We! Started! From! Scratch!!!! Lived paycheck-to-paycheck and scraped by, for YEARS!!! But he has ALWAYS lived with the goal that we would be HERE one day!!! His hard work allowed me to retire YOUNG and now to enjoy ALL of the fruits of his/our LABOR!!!
SOOOOOO, I picked up this BEAUTIFUL art piece yesterday, after waiting for months to receive it!!! I have NEVER had much excitement for ANY of our cars previously, but yesterday when I sat in her (VIOLET) she just FIT!!! My stomach completely flipped and was filled with butterflies!! Or as the cartoon Hotel Transylvania explains – I felt a ZING!!! Almost like the first time Tim and I kissed, although that was fireworks, Love American Style!!
I HAVE to commend ALL of the GM Corvette Plant employees!!! The workmanship and pride to each and every piece and part that they put into EVERY car is amazing!!! The person that builds YOUR engine SIGNS it!!! They are SO PROUD to be a part of this incredible machine that they put their name on EVERY ENGINE that they build!! Every part and piece is put together with detail and as I drove this car, MY CAR, to the house yesterday I marveled at the complex, amazing, CRAZY BEAUTIFUL machinery that I am so BLESSED to call my own!!! If you EVER have a chance to take a tour of the plant you will be AMAZED at entire process!!!! It’s amazing to see all of the parts move all around separately and then come together into one entire vehicle! It’s AMERICA’S Sports Car!!! It’s affordable, FAST and MADE IN THE USA!!!! What’s not to LOVE???
Mr. Mike Furman – our Corvette salesman, one that has become our friend!! His integrity, honesty and sincere willingness to help you get your PERFECT car is second-to-NONE!!! Thank you, Mike, for being such an awesome friend!!! We do cherish having you in our lives!! I don’t think many people can say that!! So, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
And finally to the National Corvette Museum, which is what really brought us to continually come back to BGKY so often!! We’ve made SO MANY friends – some have moved on and some are still there, but the museum works to keep the history of the Corvette ALIVE, from records keeping of almost EVERY Corvette ever created to the continual movement of different displays (I’ve seen a Transformer and I’ve seen the Batmobile!!!) to showing old technologies and new technologies, incredible corvette art, and stories of the many, many, MANY people that have raced, designed, built and just plain LOVED the Corvette . . . it is an AMAZING place to explore!!! There is a GREAT sinkhole exhibit!!! Most people that have heard of the NCM is due to that sinkhole Oh, yeah, there is a GREAT Children’s Education Gallery there, as well, where children young and old can design their VERY OWN car and where they can touch and feel some of the textures used in the cars!!! The goal is to help young people SEE and UNDERSTAND that they can become involved with designing, assembling and even purchasing their very own piece of art!!! With hard work and never-give-up attitude ANYTHING is POSSIBLE!!!
And I would be remiss to fail to mention the Museum Delivery Option when purchasing your new piece!!! There is an entire department that will bring in your car and shine it to the most incredible you will ever see it – and yes, you can bring in your – whatever year – Corvette to have a museum Delivery!!! Mack and everyone in “the back” get down and dirty and really KNOW how your Corvette should SHINE!!! Plus, Chris can show you EVERY! SINGLE! BUTTON! in your car and what it is that they do!!! They are all SO incredibly knowledgeable and GENUINELY are invested in helping you with your MAGIC MACHINE!!!
THANK YOU, EVERYONE, for making OUR DREAMS come true!!!”

My favorite is one that’s been a fave of mine before on here. It’s the pic of the hot girl leaning on the C2 convertible.
Always like the vintage photos, hard to pick a favorite, but yes the hot girl leaning on the mid-year.
The unrestored Briggs and Stratton lawnmower next to the ’67 brings back very fond memories ;o}………….Thanks for the pix, Mike
