Big thanks to Ian Beattie for allowing us to share these two photos of two 2025 Corvette ZR1s leaving the Corvette Assembly Plant. As we have yet to hear from GM on any recent news regarding the ZR1 and that first batch of orders, I figured this was give us something worth talking about.

We’re not all that sure when these photos were taken as the plant is close for this week and next for project improvements. The two ZR1s appear to be a coupe up front and a convertible in the back. There is a third uncovered vehicle on the very end in Arctic White, which may be a Z06 based on how it looks different than the ZR1 widebodies and it appears to be equipped with the Z06’s carbon fiber wheels. The lighting isn’t the greatest, but I am going to guess that these ZR1s are finished in Sea Wolf Gray. The car at the front has the polished alloy wheels while the convertible behind it has Edge Blue wheels.

It’s interesting that GM doesn’t ship these CFT cars with the transport covers on, although we saw that Export ZR1 posted by our friend Jeff ‘Zipity’ Duda a few weeks back was wearing the white shipping covers, but that car was an export so perhaps that’s the difference.

Another interesting tidbit I picked up from a dealer was that now with Jack Cooper Transport Company out of business, the cars are being picked up by a variety of shipping companies. The dealer I spoke with says the last three deliveries all featured a different transport company doing the hauling. That can be both bad and good, we supposed, as Corvette owners only want the most experience companies moving their cars from the assembly plant to the dealership.

Another change from Jack Cooper is that there are only nine cars now on the trailer as opposed to 10 that was being shipped with Jack Cooper. Jack Cooper did have trailers that were specific to shipping Corvettes so perhaps that’s one of the differences between them and the new shippers tasked with delivering cars to dealers. Back in the C7 days, it was 11 cars that could be transported at once. However, one rumor we heard about shipping nine Corvettes versus ten is that it could be due to weight and not so much space for the cars. I guess it depends on how many E-Rays are being shipped.

And finally, today there is Chevrolet order cycle underway, but not for Corvette. Dealers last week receive no new allocations and this week there was zip, zero, nada on any news or other updates as there sometimes is during an order cycle. On a positive note, we do see these two ZR1s with the large aero wings, so perhaps there is hope for the actual buyers of the car.

  1. They hual only 9 cause they are only nine car trucks most of the drivers don’t know how to haul 11 or 10 units even if they had a 11 car truck

  2. CTF vehicles aren’t wasted. They’re actually a cheap way to get a car; especially one that has an MSRP like the ZR1. A CTFV ZR1 might well for a good 20k off MSRP or more…making it a solid bargain.
