C4 Corvette owners are a loyal breed.
While the rest of the world seemingly has moved on to more powerful and advanced later generations of America’s Sports Car, the C4 Corvette still has its dedicated followers.
Some of these fourth-gen Corvettes are now more than 40 years old, so if you’ve been bitten by the C4 bug, it’s probably a good idea to search for one that’s been meticulously maintained by picky owners over the decades.
Just like this 1995 convertible that’s being offered by a CorvetteBlogger reader at the upcoming Mecum Auction at Glendale on Friday, March 21.
This Dark Red Metallic C4 has been driven just 22,142 miles over the past 30 years, always stored in a climate-controlled garage and carefully maintained.
Not surprisingly, with that high level of care, this car has been recognized with numerous prestigious honors like Bloomington Gold Certified, NCRS Hill Mark of Excellence, NCRS Top Flight awards at the chapter, regional and national levels, and NCRS Performance Verification.
It’s even been in the Fiesta Bowl Parade three times!
But the real star of the show might just be the six-speed manual transmission that’s hooked to the 300-horsepower LT1 5.7-liter V8 engine.
The original tires and sawblade wheels (and even the original battery) are included with the car, but we think the current 2009 ZR1 wheels and Michelin tires are a really cool touch and make the car look much more aggressive.
Photos with the listing confirm the excellent condition of the paint and the black leather interior, and we love the way the black convertible top accents against the dark red paint.
As you might expect, the car also comes with lots of documentation like the original window sticker and build sheet, judging scoresheets, owner’s manual, brochures, and service manuals.
So, if you just happen to have a bad case of C4 fever, this ’95 model might just be the cure!

Very nice looking C4! I used to own the Coupe version of that car for 19 years. Dark Red Metallic with Black interior 95 and I loved it!
