Believe it or not, this heavily modded 1974 Corvette has never been on the track with its current owner, despite its aggressive body and drivetrain changes.
We spotted it on Bring a Trailer, where it’s now being offered, and have to say it was quite a jolt to our eyes when we opened the web page and spotted this bright green “Wild Child.”
Once we got over the initial shock, though, our eyes couldn’t leave this car as we wondered just where to look next.
Maybe to the C2-style rear section complete with a split window, lengthened and pointed quarter panels, and six bullet-style taillights – but no bumpers.
Or maybe to the wheelie bars mounted on the rear of the chassis, or the side pipe exhausts.
The front end with its billet-style grille and electric hidden headlights, backed by a domed high-rise hood with cowl vents, might attract some of your attention, too.
The custom green metalflake paint accented with reptile-looking artwork on the hood and rear decklid is sure to get a look, too, along with the “WILD CHILD” scroll on the sides of the car. How about the cool Mickey Thompson tires with chrome 15-inch wheels?
Raising the hood, though, there’s even more eye candy with a Skip White 548 cubic inch big-block V8 with a Dart block, forged pistons, and 1,050-cfm carburetor. Taking care of all that power is an FTI TH400 three-speed automatic transmission with a transbrake and overdrive.
Inside, things calm down a little bit with ordinary-looking black leather seats, but you do get the idea that this car is all business with its riveted center stack and console, electric door poppers, aftermarket switchgear, B&M Ratchet shifter, and MSD launch control unit mounted on the passenger side of the firewall in place of the HVAC.
Corvettes aren’t for those who don’t like the spotlight, and this car is sure to make you the center of attention. Will you be joining in the bids for this car, currently at $10,500 with four days to go?

The C2 and C3 body styles are two of the very best looking but a mash up of the two styles just doesn’t work.
Too wild for my neighborhood.
