There’s more than one way to skin a cat.
An Instagram user named Parker Jones – who goes by the handle @stangry5.0 – recently attended a car meet in Georgia, where he showed off his black C6 Corvette Z06 that had been equipped with upgraded cams and emits lovely sounds, at least lovely to many enthusiasts.
In fact, onlookers soon were begging him to rev up his new and improved motor so they could hear its angry sounds, and naturally Jones was game. After all, why make changes like that if you’re not going to show them off to interested parties?
The car meet, somewhere in Georgia, was being held on a private lot owned by his dad, and Jones even asked a cop who had just happened to show up when the cars were arriving, exactly what they would be allowed to do with their vehicles according to the law. The cop informed him they could do what they wanted, as long as they weren’t moving.
Well, apparently a few Karens who lived in the area called the local precinct, protesting all the disturbing “racket” coming from Jones’ car. Unfortunately, the original cop who had explained the rules had already left the scene, only to be replaced by a bunch of other lawmen who weren’t so obliging.
In fact, the second set of cops told Jones that as soon as the black Corvette owner cranked up and left the lot, they would be waiting to arrest him for causing a disturbance and for not being street-legal.
Here’s where that “skin a cat” reference comes into play.
Jones decided to outsmart the cops by calling a tow truck and having his silent Corvette hauled home on a flatbed, making the threat of arrest a moot point since the car wasn’t cranked.
Apparently, that strategy worked, but Jones might want to be more careful the next time he “shoots off” his Corvette from now on.

I’ve been a Corvette guy my entire life. No offense but that sound is not appealing.
Agree, didn’t even sound like a real car, more like a diesel tractor trying to start on ether.
Annoying sounding bullshit.
Have to agree – that sounds awful and should be illegal 😉
Definitely doesn’t sound like a Corvette should, especially a C6.
There is a big difference between a nice sounding car and just a loud car that sounds like *hit. His car is the latter one. The Lambo crowd is number one for reving their car’s and being annoying.
What a bunch of BS, I hate people. I have to listen to the Japanese shit boxes shooting out the exhaust pipes and are horrendously loud plus they sound like shit. But this is not OK?? Regardless of how it sounds, it would seem most people have better things to do but I guess not. Mustangs and Chargers with straight pipes are really loud and also sound like shit, how about minding your own damn business.
I have always been of the opinion that noise and heat are energy being wasted instead of applied to the ground. Exhausts like these are roughly equivalent to spinner rims, imho.
Here kid….hold my beer…..
I live in Marietta, Ga. There isn’t much crime so the Cobb Co police have nothing better to do. Unless I missed something the vette doesn’t appear to have a license plate. No front plate is needed in Ga.
