Corvettes for Sale: 1967 Corvette Barn Find on eBay

After sitting neglected for the past 24 years, this once-a-427/390 horsepower Ermine White Corvette convertible with air conditioning is up for sale on eBay Motors – at no reserve.

With the auction slated to close on Thursday, the high bid has reached just $22,422.

The seller says this vintage Sting Ray belonged to his dad, who parked it 24 years ago with a replacement 327 small-block engine under the hood that was “in good running condition” at the time and still “operational prior to the dashboard disassembly.” While the more desirable original 427/390 is long gone, the good news is that a freshly rebuilt 427/425 sourced from a 1966 Impala is also included with the deal now.

Also going with the car is a collection of parts purchased over the years, including a fuel tank, the back half of a transmission housing, a new flywheel, and some gaskets. We like the seller’s comment: “I assume these parts go with this vehicle. I don’t know what else they would go to? Please check out the photos and see what parts might be there.”

He candidly admits that this barn find is “in distressed condition,” but based on the photos with the listing, the body appears to be in decent condition and the interior, though a little ragged now, is surely capable of being brought back to life with the proper parts readily available in the aftermarket. He notes that the convertible top is “complete” in its storage compartment, though he doesn’t know its condition. The car also comes with a removable black hardtop.

If you happen to be in California, the car – which has a four-speed manual transmission – can be previewed in Alta, halfway between Sacramento and Reno.
