Chevrolet Delays Rollout of its 2025 Build and Buy Configurator Until September 24th

We are three order cycles into the 2025 model year with the first 2025s expected to start production sometime next week. And yet, General Motors still doesn’t have its 2025 model year configurator up and running yet.

In early August, Chevrolet told dealers that its 2025 Build and Buy Configurator would be available beginning September 10th. In its most recent communique to dealers, the launch date for the configurator has now been pushed back an additional two weeks with the new launch date being Tuesday, September 24th.

Corvette buyers rely on the configurator to ensure their orders will be built exactly the way they want them, and shame on Chevy for not having them ready to go with the first order cycle. If you can’t see the new options, colors, or get the correct pricing, then that just puts the onus to ensure your order is correct on your dealer reps who can “build” 2025s on GM’s workbench software.

We’ve been asked multiple times about this, and our suggestion for buyers is to utilize the current 2024 Configurator for as much of your order as possible, even if you have to substitute certain items. We then looked at the 2025 pricing and made adjustments via pen and paper so that at least we could have a ballpark idea on what the final MSRP may be. The 2025 Corvette Order Guide is also an important tool to have as it can help answer questions on what options are available based on you the Trim package.

Having spent so much time on the 2024 Configurator while trying to build a 2025 is a letdown, especially for those who want to see the new colors visualized. Let’s hope that GM can learn from this (they won’t) and can get up these crucial buyer tools earlier rather than later.
