Ordering for the new 2025 Corvettes started last month and this week, the 2nd ordering opportunity for 2025s began as dealers received their latest allocations. Next week, customers whose orders matched an open allocation will see their orders submitted and then the waiting game starts.

Speaking of waiting games, where the heck is Chevrolet’s 2025 Corvette Build and Buy Configurator?

In somewhat typical fashion, Chevrolet’s 2025 Corvette configurator is expected to launch on Tuesday, September 10th according to a memo sent to dealers on Thursday. For those who are paying attention, that will be the day after the very first 2025s are expected to start production at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green. It also comes months after the 2025 Corvette Order Guide was launched as well as the new pricing schedule was revealed for America’s Favorite Sports Car.

Those in line to order one of the first 2025 Corvettes have had to rely on the 2024 Corvette’s Configurator for most of the product information. Unfortunately, it doesn’t show any of the three exterior colors or options like the Z06 wheels and the Habanero interior that are new for the year, let alone your final build price.

I could go on a rant right now, but that’s not going to speed up the delivery of an important tool for new Corvette buyers. This should have come out the day after pricing was announced at the latest, not the day after the first 2025 Corvettes start production.

  1. They’re going to have to send the award back for the configurator that they won if this keeps up. Lol.

  2. There has to be some pics of the new wheels for the Z06. Mainly STE Polished 10 Spoke.
And any word of the price?

  3. I saw an article recently that announced that GM was laying off 1000 employees in the Software and Services organization; 600 of which are in Michigan. Perhaps that has something to do with the logical disconnect that you can place an order today for a 2025 Corvette even though the Configurator won’t be working until September 10th?
