C8 Corvette Z06 & E-Ray Rock Guards

ACS Composite’s Rock Guards are designed to help control rocks and other road debris that are picked up by your tires. Michelin’s high-performance tires for the Corvette are huge and offer a large contact area for grabbing the road, however, those super sticky tires are also known for picking up stones, rocks and other debris. But instead of the rocks and debris begin kicked back against your Corvette’s side panels, they hit the ACS Rock Guards and are directed downward and away from your car. The Rock Guards utilize a wide edge and a bladed shield to help prevent debris from entering the wheel wheels and those that do are prevented from being sent rearward.


The Z06 and E-Ray widebody design was even more of an engineering challenge due to the rear wheel wells having a narrow pass-thru outlet in the body panels. We noted the first time we saw the Corvette engineers driving the Z06s to Carlisle that rocks and debris were actually being trapped in that outlet, causing chipping to the paint inside and surrounding it. We think ACS Composite’s patent-pending solution is very well done as they added a tunnel with a serviceable insert that holds a grill screen and mesh to prevent rocks from getting through.

ACS Composite manufactures their Rock Guards with their proprietary PC Composite material. PC Composite is a polycarbonate material that is both hard and durable, and it offers better protection than similar products made from ABS Plastic due to its ability to resist chipping. Another characteristic of PC Composite material is that the Rock Guards are relatively weightless compared to other components. The Rock Guards are finished in Carbon Flash Metallic and will perfectly match your C8 Corvette’s trim, fascia, and other aesthetics.

C8 Corvette Stingray Rock Guards

Designers of the mid-engine C8 Corvette made the rear end larger than the front to accommodate the largest rear wheels, while also providing as large an opening as possible for the side intakes. This “Coke bottle” design feature goes back to the C3s. As the rear end sticks out wider than the fronts, that design also lends itself for the front Michelins to pick up rocks and other road debris and launch it rearward against the side of your car.
