What will you discover in the National Corvette Museum’s new online Vintage Shop?

With just a quick glance on the Web this afternoon, we already spotted a cool 1982 Collector Edition 1/24 scale kit still wrapped in the original plastic for just $20, not to mention a picture frame topped with the logo from the C4 generation that would look great with a photo of our white ’96 convertible inside.

Launching Monday, April 8, the Vintage Shop features rare jackets and Tshirts, along with accessories, not to mention other collectibles like a lighted and colorized Corvette Dollars, a 1965 Corvette Sting Ray metal flake model kit, and a VHS tape rewinder that looks like a 1963 split window coupe.

Today’s first drop includes 100 vintage and retro items ranging from apparel, diecasts, books, and more.

“The Corvette lifestyle – including some of the retro looks of the 1970s and 1980s – has been a part of Corvette since 1953,” the NCM says in a press release, “and the new Vintage Shop gives any Corvette fan the chance to add some retro looks to their collection.”

You can also help the NCM stock up the new Vintage Shop if you have some old Corvette-branded items you’re willing to part with. They’re accepting all types of Corvette merchandise, including T-shirts, totes, lapel pins, and more. They just ask that all donations be clean, odorless, and in good condition. You can ship your donations to the Corvette Store with Attn: Vintage Shop on the label or drop them off in person at the Corvette Store in Bowling Green on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

To see complete guidelines about the donations and to check out the first items on sale, visit corvettestore.com.

Proceeds will help the NCM continue its mission of educating worldwide audiences on the evolution of the Corvette through collection, preservation, and celebration of its legacy.
